Among the Stars
"Among the Stars" is Kelton's most vulnerable work to date. Without placing priority on mainstream acceptance of internet virality, Kelton dives into some of life's greatest hardships. From epic heartbreak and end-of-life surrender to loss of identity and missed opportunity, "Among the Stars" came to life through the ambition to illustrate these chapters with an honest and fastidious focus on authenticity; both in lyric and production.

Don't Look Back
We made love, we made history
A disciple born within me
Monuments erected, chapels in our name
Forever forged in flame

Too big to walk away, too strong to fade

So tear down the memories, take it all back
Burn all the bridges, bury the past
Erase every trace of what we had
Then don't look back

A hurt too strong for survival
Pain without an Earthly rival
With no chance of redemption
And nothing left to say
Best we turn our heads
Than face the mess we made
So tear down the memories, take it all back
Burn all the bridges, bury the past
Erase every trace of what we had
Then don't look back

Don't you leave the slightest chance
I wouldn't make it through again

So tear down the memories, take it all back
Burn all the bridges, bury the past
Erase every trace of what we had

Forget every kiss, whisper and touch
The last burning page in the story of us
Erase every trace of what we had
Then don't look back
Don't look back
Song for Madeline
Sleep all day and wake all night
Ain't much left of this ol' fight
World's still sinning outside this room
But I lost track when I lost you

Friends don't call and kin don't show
I'm free to leave still I don't go
It ain't the sadness hanging from these walls
It's what I don't have to live for anymore

A smile brighter than the darkest days to come
A voice stronger than the one
That tells me I'm not strong enough
A hand to hold on a road so far from home
When I just want to let go
Just a lyric, a melody
Cast a glimpse, a memory
Of a time when I had something to believe
That old picture of what you meant to me

A smile brighter than the darkest days to come
A voice stronger than the one
That tells me I'm not strong enough
A hand to hold on a road so far from home
When I just want to let go
To let go, to let go

Among the Stars
I feel the rush as the lights go down
A child-like abandon in their eyes
I lift the weight from weathered souls
But I hold no illusion of control

I am the whisper in the breeze
I don't feed the hungry fire or animate the trees
I'm not the reason you believe
That there's something more you live for
That only lives in dreams
But I'll be waiting when they align
To live among the stars
But never shine

I feel the love but it's not my own
A shallow praise, forced and hollow
At the end of the day I'm worth my weight in gold
But when the sun comes up my story won't get told

I am the whisper in the breeze
I don't feed the hungry fire or animate the trees
I'm not the reason you believe
That there's something more you live for
That only lives in dreams
But I'll be waiting when they align
To live among the stars
But never shine

Oh, they'd wander on without me
Oh, but it wouldn't be the same

I am the whisper in the breeze
I don't feed the hungry fire or animate the trees
I'm not the reason you believe
That there's something more we live for
That only lives in dreams
So I'll be waiting when they align
I live among the stars
But never shine
But never shine
Try
I ain't got the money
You don't have the time
And we're just too busy
The way that we're living
To think about trying
But I promise you honey
Somewhere down the line
Someday when the world ain't so cold
And it ain't this hard to get by

We'll try

We ain't talked about it
No it's been a while
But not much has change
And we're in no place
Just give it time

'cause work will pick up
I won't get passed by
It's bound to get better
Just keep it together
And when the time's right

We'll try, we'll try

Months turn to years, years start to fade
And the dreams we don't chase slip away

We used to talk
That's been some time
Your eyes would light up
But they've long grown tired of
This life slipping by

So I just keep working
The rest of my life
Just trying to keep up
But it'll never be enough
To buy back your time

But I'll try, I'll try
